Building permit values continue decrease in May

Officials with the City of Red Deer say building permit values decreased in May, with 107 approved permits valued at $7.8 million, compared with 110 permits issued in May 2022 worth $35 million.
Year-to-date values also remain lower in 2023, with current values at $35 million compared with $78 million last year.
Notable permits include:
• Building permit for modifications to existing structures at 27251 TWP RD 391, valued at $1 million
