“We continue to be heavily involved in the community through community leadership and strive to create brand awareness of our key pillars – safety, security and service,” he said. “The best way to grow your business is to help support the community, and that’s something we’re really focused on.”

In 2022, the Red Deer Regional Airport states they raised over $39,000 to support 15 non-profit organizations with events for the community.

On July 29-30 2023, the Airport will be the host for the Red Deer Regional Airshow featuring the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, Pylon Air Racing, Canadian International Air Race Championship and their long-time show and shine ‘Props and Pistons’.

They say the event looks to create economic benefit for the region and an opportunity to engage the community with the aviation industry.

Officials say additional opportunities and invitations related to the Airshow should be sent out within the month, with tickets on sale May 31.

“We are excited to continue to play a significant role in helping to drive future economic growth and prosperity for central Alberta,” said officials in a release.
