Rocky Mountain House RCMP make arrests after armed robbery
Two Red Deer residents are facing charges after an armed robbery in Rocky Mountain House this week.
On Sept. 20, at 8:30 p.m., Rocky Mountain House RCMP received a report of an armed robbery with a firearm at a retail business on the 5200 block of 48 Street in Rocky Mountain House.
Upon arrival, Mounties were advised that an employee had confronted a male who was blatantly attempting to steal items from the store. When confronted by the employee, the suspect produced a firearm from his waistband and pointed it at the victim.
Police say the suspect then ran from the store accompanied by a female who had entered the store with him. Upon reviewing surveillance, RCMP identified both suspects who were known to the police.
