An amber alert was issued Monday night just after 7 p.m. for a 7-year-old girl and 8-year old boy. It is believed there are with convicted pedophile 50-year old Benjamin Moore and their mother, who is said to be in a common-law relationship with Moore, according to RCMP.

Bates says as soon as the apprehension order was received the amber alert was issued.

Bates stated that “Benjamin Moore has a history of sexual offenses against children, vulnerable persons, and has also been previously convicted of sexual interference and possession of child pornography.”

A warrant has been issued for his arrest after police charged him with failing to update information relating to his residence within 7 days as required under the sex offender registry act.

RCMP say there are following up on a number of tips. One individual also came forward after the Amber Alert was issued to report an incident involving Moore to police. RCMP are encouraging anyone else who may have been a victim of Moore’s to come forward.
