Ponoka lauching household battery recycling pilot project
The Town of Ponoka is launching a household battery recycling pilot project on July 25.
The pilot is taking place at the Waste Transfer Station northeast of the town’s boundary on 46 Street, and is an expansion of its e-waste electronics recycling program.
“The Town of Ponoka has diverted nearly half of its waste from the landfill over the past two years,” says Dwayne Kwolick, Manager of Environmental Services.
“The new household battery recycling pilot program is another way the Town can continue its mission of diverting waste from the landfill.”
