Sylvan Lake stabbing suspect arrested

Sylvan Lake RCMP say the suspect in an alleged stabbing on Wednesday was arrested Thursday afternoon.

It was on July 6 when RCMP received a report of a stabbing that had occurred on Lakeshore Drive.

A 21-year-old victim who had what appeared to be stab wounds, was taken to hospital where he remains in stable condition.

RCMP have laid charges of aggravated assault and assault with a weapon against 28-year-old Brandon James Ritchie.

A court appearance on this matter is yet to be set.
