Innisfail RCMP reminds drivers to use caution in construction zones

With summer finally here, the school year over, and construction season having begun, Innisfail RCMP say they want to remind drivers that there will be more people on the streets and more traffic on highways.

When operating a vehicle on the road, Mounties advise drivers to slow down and pay even more attention when encountering a construction zone.

“The people working are there to make our roads better, and safer. And their safety is of the utmost importance,” the RCMP says in a release.

The RCMP say they will be performing periodic speed enforcement in construction zones throughout the summer, with penalties in construction zones double.
