2022 World Juniors officially cancelled
The 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship is officially cancelled.
Co-hosted by Red Deer and Edmonton, the tournament is being shelved due to multiple cases of COVID among the ten teams. Those cases have caused multiple games to be cancelled.
Reporter Chris Peters of the Daily Faceoff first reported Wednesday that the International Ice Hockey Federation was scrapping the tournament after three days of competition.
