Kenney, Shandro to share COVID-19 update

Alberta’s premier and health minister will deliver an update Tuesday afternoon on the province’s response to COVID-19.

Jason Kenney and Tyler Shandro are to speak at a news conference scheduled to begin at 3:30. You can watch it live here once it begins.

Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s chief medical officer of health, shared on Monday that the province has surpassed 1,000 deaths from COVID-19.

She also confirmed that Alberta has seen it’s first instance of a new, more easily transmitted variant of COVID-19 first reported in the United Kingdom.
