Crews battle house fire in Rocky

May 15, 2020 | 4:18 PM

At 5:10 a.m. Friday going into May Long Weekend, Clearwater Regional Fire Rescue Services received a call of a house fire in Rocky Mountain House on 59 Street Close.

Three crews were quickly on scene and despite the flames rapidly moving into the attic of the home, fire crews were able to contain the flames to just the one property Regional Fire Chief Steve Debienne explained.

As of now, they are unsure how the fire started, but crews remain on scene investigating the incident.

Debienne stated that nobody was hurt in the blaze and that it was in fact a neighbour that made the call to Fire Rescue.
