Three arrested after Innisfail RCMP locate stolen vehicles

INNISFAIL- Three people face a list of charges after Mounties in Innisfail recovered several stolen vehicles.

On February 12 at approximately 12:40 a.m., RCMP received a call from a concerned citizen about a suspicious red GMC Sierra in Penhold.

Members located the truck on Highway 2A, south of Penhold, where it had stopped on the highway next to an occupied grey GMC Sierra.

Officers attempted a traffic stop but both vehicles fled.

The pickups began travelling in a dangerous manner, including driving northbound in the southbound lanes of the QE2.

Innisfail RCMP, assisted by Blackfalds, Three Hills and Red Deer RCMP worked in an coordinated effort to stop the vehicles.

They were observed driving down Range Road 261, which is a dead end.

Mounties converged on the area and found one truck stuck in a ditch and arrested two people.

The other truck was located unoccupied further down the road and with the assistance of Red Deer Police Dog Service, a third person was arrested.

After investigation, both the GMC Sierras were confirmed as stolen vehicles.

Christopher Suderman, 29, of Red Deer faces charges including possession of property obtained by crime, theft of a motor vehicle, flight from police and possession of break-in tools. He appears in Red Deer Provincial Court on March 21.

Charges against Mickala Schultz, 28, of Red Deer include possession of property obtained by crime, theft of a motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance.

Both are scheduled to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court on March 21.

Khristian Stach, 21, of Calgary has been charged with flight from a Peace Officer, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and possession of break-in tools.

Stach appears in Red Deer court on March 25.

Property Crime and Crime Reduction remains a priority for Innisfail RCMP and residents are asked to continue to report any suspicious activity in their neighbourhoods.
