Suspicious death now a murder investigation

EDMONTON- Police have confirmed that the death of a 24-year-old man last weekend in Edmonton was a homicide.

The body of Aaron Watt was found in the driveway of a home that appeared slated for demolition following a report of a fire in an alley.

Police say a burned silver Mitsubishi Outlander was located following a report of another fire a short time later and homicide investigators believe both scenes are connected.

Investigators say someone in the vehicle may have filled a red plastic gasoline jerry-can that night and they are asking any gas station customers who may have spotted the vehicle to contact them and for gas stations to review their surveillance footage.
