Terry Fox Run set for Sunday in Red Deer

The annual Terry Fox Run is taking place nationwide this Sunday, Sept. 15, including in Red Deer.

Registration is at 10 a.m. with the run starting at 11 a.m.

This year, the local run will take place at Gateway School (4210 59 Street). There are 1km, 5km and 10 km distances and the event is bicycle, wheelchair and rollerblade friendly. Dogs are also welcome.

Terry Fox Run shirts will also be available for purchase by cash or credit card.

According to the Terry Fox Run website, as of Saturday, Red Deer organizers have raised close to $3500, or about 23 per cent of their $15,000 goal.
