Innisfail’s ‘JJ’ Beauchamp recognized for efforts to improve community safety
A number of Albertans and organizations were recognized this weekend for their contributions to improving safety in their communities.
More specifically, the 28th annual Alberta Community Justice Awards honoured those who’ve made efforts towards crime prevention and restorative justice.
“In partnership with Alberta Justice and Solicitor General and on behalf of the Alberta RCMP, I would like to express my gratitude to all of this year’s Alberta Community Justice Award recipients,” said Curtis Zablocki, Deputy Commissioner, RCMP ‘K’ Division. “This small gesture of recognition pales in comparison to the time and energy our award recipients have invested to find new and promising ways to keep Alberta safe.”
One of this year’s honourees is Innisfail resident Jean Jaques ‘JJ’ Beauchamp, who established and currently serves as chair for the Innisfail Restorative Justice Society.
