Missing Calgary man’s body recovered from Clearwater River

RCMP say the body of a missing Calgary man believed to have drowned in the Clearwater River near Rocky Mountain House has been located.

The body of the 34-year-old Calgary mas was found just before 6 p.m. Tuesday about two kilometres from where he was last seen in the river.

The name of the victim will not be released.

It was a little after 10 p.m. Sunday when witnesses first spotted the man in the river approximately 28 miles west of the Clearwater Bridge near Highway 22 and Highway 591.
