Northside Community Centre opening next week

The Northside Community Centre, Red Deer’s newest multi-purpose recreation facility, will open in the Glendale neighbourhood next Tuesday.

The facility will be operated by the YMCA of Northern Alberta and offer Red Deerians a variety of community and recreational programs.

The YMCA at the Northside Community Centre will open July 2 with summer day camps for children and youth ages 3–16, and Friday night Teen Night for youth ages 13–18.

Starting August 1, Red Deerians can enjoy group fitness classes with childminding available, gather with friends at Open Gym time, or drop in to the Youth Centre.

The YMCA will be adding more programs and services this fall.

The Northside Community Centre includes event rental spaces, arts and culture programs, youth programs, a teaching kitchen and rooftop patio, gymnasium, fitness studio, multi-purpose rooms and more.
