Employee assaulted in gas station robbery

A Red Deer man has been arrested for robbery following the assault of a gas station employee in Riverside Meadows Tuesday night.

It happened around 10:40 p.m. when RCMP responded to the Fas Gas at 5926 54 Avenue and found a store employee had been assaulted.

Mounties say EMS was not required.

The suspect’s name has not been released as the charges against him have yet to be sworn in court.
