AHS warns of measles exposure in Calgary

Health officials in Alberta are warning people in Calgary that they may have been exposed to measles last week at a hospital and several outpatient labs.

Alberta Health Services says a person with lab-confirmed measles may have exposed people at the Peter Lougheed Centre emergency department and its outpatient centre last week.

Exposures may also have occurred at several Alberta Provincial Laboratories locations and a McDonald’s.

The health agency is asking people who may not be protected from measles, and who were at some of the locations at certain times, to attend an immunization clinic at Brentwood Mall in Calgary tomorrow.
