Town of Ponoka invites citizen input on 2019 Budget

Aug 24, 2018 | 6:48 AM

The Town of Ponoka wants to hear your input as it begins the 2019 Budget public consultation and planning process.

The annual pre-budget Community Input Survey is posted on the Town website (www.ponoka.ca) and is available at the Town Office and other Town buildings until October 4.

The survey asks 12 questions that invite residents to share their thoughts and suggestions on matters such as key factors that contribute to the quality of life in Ponoka, and the top three priorities they think are important for Town Council to consider in the upcoming budget.

The Town is also hosting its annual Budget Open House on Thursday, October 4 at the Kinsmen Community Centre from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Open House will feature information displays and encourage citizens to ask questions, share ideas and offer input on the upcoming budget. It will also be an opportunity to learn more about the budget planning process, how property taxes are determined, and about current priorities that are being considered for the 2019 Budget.
