Temporary closure of Gaetz Ave access from northbound QE2

Access to Gaetz Avenue in Red Deer from the northbound QE2 will be temporarily closed starting Tuesday night.

Officials with Flatiron Constructors Canada Ltd. say the closure is anticipated to last about one month depending on the weather.

Work includes a completion of the grading and paving of the new alignment of Gaetz Avenue, so drivers wishing to exit northbound Highway 2 into Red Deer will be directed onto Gasoline Alley East, then to Spruce Street to 49 Avenue and onto 19 Street.

Alternatively, northbound motorists can use the 32 Street Interchange.
