Witnesses describe crash scene as manslaughter trial continues
Several people who attended the scene of a late night crash that claimed the life of Stanley Dick near Lousana three years ago testified in Red Deer Court of Queen’s Bench Wednesday morning.
Daniel Wayne Newsham, 48, is accused of causing the collision and is charged with manslaughter.
Michelle Lytle is a nurse’s aide who was driving home to Trochu from her job in Lacombe when she came across the crash scene on Highway 42 a little before midnight on August 14, 2015.
Lytle told court she got out of her vehicle and went to help Dick, who was lying face down on the road after being tossed from the truck he was driving that rolled and hit the ditch.
