As a result of the court hearing, which spanned approximately four hours, Glass ordered a psychological assessment report of the accused be completed to assist in sentencing.

Her sentencing date has been set for Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2026, in Red Deer.

This comes after the co-accused pleaded guilty to assault causing bodily harm on Sept. 10. Her sentencing date was set for Thursday, Dec. 10, 2026.

All three girls involved, including the victim, cannot be named as per Alberta’s Youth Criminal Justice Act.

A 14-year-old girl was the victim of an assault that took place on May 11, 2026, in Lancaster Meadows.

That day, police were notified that a female youth had been assaulted at a field between the Collicutt Centre and Hunting Hills High School.

Just two days later, police arrested two female youths, both residents of Red Deer.

Initially, one was charged with assault causing bodily harm and assault by choking. The second youth was charged with assault causing bodily harm.

The incident was caught on camera, which has been shared across multiple social media outlets, sparking discussion across the community about the incident and the topic of violence in general.

According to the statement of facts read in court, the assault began after the co-accused approached the victim and interrogated her about alleged comments about a family member.

Ultimately, staff at the Collicutt Centre assisted the victim and called 911. As a result of the attack, the victim received two black eyes and had blood in one of her eyes. All of her injuries have since healed except for a slight vision change.

The statement of facts also revealed that the two accused were expelled from high school.
