One of two youths accused in violent assault enters guilty plea

One of two female youths accused of assaulting a Red Deer teen this spring has entered a guilty plea.
On Thursday morning at Red Deer Court of Justice, one of the two 14-year-old girls, who was in attendance, pleaded guilty to assault causing bodily harm.
Her sentencing date has been set for Dec. 10 in Red Deer.
Meanwhile, the co-accused, who did not appear in court, did not enter a plea on Thursday. Her legal counsel indicated that they plan to come to a resolution at her upcoming court date in Red Deer on Sept. 29.
