Two youths accused of assaulting a Red Deer teen this spring had their matters adjourned at the Red Deer Justice Centre Thursday morning.

The two 14-year-old girls, who cannot be named, as per Alberta’s Youth Criminal Justice Act, had their case adjourned until next month. The youth did not appear in the courtroom, but their legal counsel did.

14-year-old Rylin Brinston was the victim of an assault that took place on May 11, 2026, in Lancaster Meadows.

That day, police were notified that a female youth had been assaulted at a field between the Collicutt Centre and Hunting Hills High School.
