Frost Advisory issued for Red Deer and area

A Frost-Yellow Advisory has been issued for Red Deer and the surrounding area.

According to Environment and Climate Cgange Canada (ECCC), temperatures are expected to drop to near or below zero tonight, giving patchy frost.

Temperatures are expected to moderate Friday morning. However, damage to plants, trees, and crops is possible.

Residents are encouraged to take preventative measures to protect cold-sensitive plants, trees, and crops, by covering up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas.
