Province boosts RAMP grants to help more Albertans afford home accessibility upgrades
The Government of Alberta has increased grant funding to help more Albertans with mobility challenges afford home modifications.
Officials have increased the maximum grant available through the Residential Access Modification Program (RAMP) from $7,500 to $12,000 per person each benefit year and from $15,000 to $24,000 per person over a 10-year period.
The province says RAMP helps low-income Albertans with mobility challenges pay for home accessibility modifications that help them live safely and independently.
The government wanted to lend a hand as the cost of these modifications has increased.
