Central Alberta teen launches non-profit ‘Swimming for All’ to offer free lessons
A Grade 12 student from central Alberta, passionate about ensuring kids can learn to swim, is launching a non-profit to do just that.
Nour Negm, who previously attended Red Deer’s Lindsay Thurber, will be completing her secondary education at Calgary French and International School, she shares.
Negm is a certified national lifeguard, swim instructor, lifesaving instructor, and First Aid & CPR instructor.
Swimming for All, the organization’s name, will offer completely free lessons at Burman University in Lacombe. All instructors will be fully certified by the Lifesaving Society (Alberta and the Northwest Territories).
