Two children find human remains in Michener Hill area

Red Deer RCMP say that human remains were found in the Michener Hill area late last week.

On Sunday, June 28, two children came across a deceased man while playing in a wooded area at approximately 6:15 p.m.

RCMP Constable Sandra Geiger said that at this time, they do not believe the death to be suspicious, adding that the remains were taken to the chief medical examiner’s office for identification.

“Some kids were playing, and they came across somebody who was unresponsive, and the kids did all of the right things,” she said.
