Grade 2 student earns global recognition for Braille skills
A Grade 2 student at Red Deer’s Gateway Christian School is earning global recognition for her performance at the recent Braille Challenge.
Sienna Woods was recently named one of the top competitors in the apprentice division at the Alberta-based event, where she actually became overall provincial champion.
Now she’s headed to California for the international final, held on campus of the University of Southern California.
“I was so happy and proud,” said Sienna, who has now participated in the Alberta Braille Challenge three times.
