Red Deer & District Community Foundation hosts spring breakfast

Jun 5, 2024 | 2:31 PM

The Red Deer & District Community Foundation is hosting a spring breakfast at the Pidherney Centre to supplement their Annual General Meeting, and celebrate 35 years of operations, and a formal change of the organization’s name.

On June 12 at 7:30 a.m., the Red Deer & District Community Foundation will be changing its name to Community Foundation of Central Alberta (CFCAB).

Community Foundation Board Chair Krista Nymark VandenBrink says “the Board of Directors has been considering a name change for the sake of accuracy and accountability, and with this major milestone of our 35th anniversary in 2024, we felt this was a great time to refresh our look and our name, while deepening our commitment to the work we’ve been doing in the region for more than three decades.”

The name change will be accompanied by a new logo as well. The CFCAB logo includes a circle to represent the circle of giving, the sustainability of endowed philanthropy, and unity between communities.
