Red Deer’s Ken Griffith falls just short of national title
Red Deer’s Ken Griffith led going into the final round of the 2023 Canadian Men’s Senior Golf Championship this weekend, but unfortunately came up short.
Playing at Big Sky Golf Club in Pemberton, B.C., Griffith was -4 after three rounds, one stroke ahead of Savannah, Georgia’s Doug Hanzel and Ridgeway, Ontario’s Dave Bunker.
Several others were well within striking distance also.
But on the last day, Griffith faltered, firing a two-over 74 to drop to -2, finishing in a tie for third. That included a double bogey on 16, which put three players tied at two-under with two holes to go.
