Spartan Race comes to Red Deer this weekend; sole stop in Alberta

The much-attended Spartan Race is returning to Red Deer this weekend as its sole stop in Alberta.

From July 22-23, Heritage Ranch (6300 Cronquist Dr.) will be transformed into a mud-filled obstacle course, testing the physical and endurance capabilities of Albertans.

Beginners can register for the 5 kilometre sprint on Saturday featuring 20 obstacles or the Super 10 km race featuring 25 obstacles for an extra challenge.

While races are typically one hour in length, there will also be a four hour extreme conditioning Hurricane Heat race on Saturday.
