Over $7,000 donated for updated banners and signage at Red Deer’s Escuela Vista Grande School
The Vista Grande Association has received a donation of over $7,000 that they say will help them complete the creation and installation of banners and signage at the Escuela Vista Grande School in Red Deer.
On Tuesday, February 14, the community group was presented the cheque of $7,650 at the Red Deer Public District’s school (4145 46 St) by Peace Hills Insurance, through their #HometownTurnaround campaign, in partnership with Paramount Insurance.
Peace Hills Insurance says the campaign was launched in 2022 to support local projects in rural areas, identified by their broker partners established in those municipalities. With a budget of $100,000, the campaign is funding 10 projects across western Canada.
The Association says the donation will be used to complete the ongoing project of updating signage and banners in the foyer, stairways, and gymnasium, among other areas, at the Esceula Vista Grande School from when the Spanish Bilingual program moved into the building six years ago, formerly known as the Grandview School.
