Rebels tie franchise record with 14th consecutive win
The Red Deer Rebels tied a franchise record winning streak with their 14th consecutive win, 4-1, against the Swift Current Broncos Friday night at the InnovationPlex.
The Rebels record was previously set during the 2001-02 season. This comes during the second of nine straight games on the road for the Rebels where the team also achieved a WHL record for holding the longest winning streak to start a season on Sunday.

The first period left just a few unseized power play opportunities for both teams. It was the WHL debut for the Rebels’ Luke Vlooswyk who also received the first penalty of the evening for delay of game at 5:03.
