Jul 15, 2022 | 3:47 PM

Vesta Energy is helping Red Deer County establish a new fee assistance program that will help residents access recreation and culture programming.

Vesta is contributing $5,000 to start up the fund, with the County’s Community Services department putting in another $5,000.

“We are excited about the sponsorship from Vesta Energy for the new Fee Assistance Program,” says Mayor Jim Wood. “This will help to ensure access to opportunities for Red Deer County residents of all ages.”

Mark Lansing, a VP with Vesta, says the company is a proud community supporter.

“Vesta is excited to provide support to the Red Deer County Fee Assistance Program,” says Lansing. “This program is a wonderful opportunity to enhance family and social development needs in the community by providing financial support to broaden the outreach of the great programs offered.”

The program is open to County residents, as well as those living in Ardley, Benalto, Dickson, Lousana, Markerville, Springbrook, Spruce View, and Gasoline Alley.

It will provide up to $300 per individual in a given year.
