Chamber of Commerce announces 2021 Business of the Year finalists

The Red Deer & District Chamber of Commerce recently announced their 2021 Business of the Year finalists.

Winners of the 2021 Business of the Year Awards will be announced at the annual ceremony, held at the Red Deer Polytechnic Arts Centre on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021.

In the 1-10 full time equivalent employees’ category- Apple Teddy Ciders & Juices, Cook with Meg, and Love, Yoga, Grace.

In the 11-20 full-time equivalent employees’ category- Breathing Room Yoga Studio & Café, Edwards & Holloway Health & Wellness/Alberta Institute of Massage, and Masterpiece Salon.

In the 21 or more full-time equivalent employees’ category- Collegiate Sports Medicine Inc., Go Services, and Horizon Family Medicine.

For the Young Entrepreneur category- Bestea Chill Out Café, Doortender, and Taco Monster.

Businesses are nominated by the public, and Chamber volunteers interview nominees to develop material for the adjudication committee. The committee then conducts a comprehensive evaluation to determine the finalists. As an outcome of this process, the winners are also determined, however the results are sealed and embargoed until the awards ceremony.

The 15 finalists were chosen from more than 55 nominees by an independent adjudication committee comprised of local business leaders in this 38th annual celebration of business excellence.
