Crash claims life of Rocky Mountain House resident

RCMP in Rocky Mountain House say one person has died following a crash in the area on April 13.

It was just after 7 p.m. when RCMP members responded to a two-vehicle collision on Hwy 11A near the bridge and water plant.

Initial investigation indicated one vehicle, a red Pontiac car, was driving westbound on Hwy 11A when it crossed the centre line colliding with an eastbound truck.

The 23-year-old driver of the first vehicle, who was from Rocky Mountain House, was declared deceased on scene. The driver and passenger of the truck were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

An RCMP Collison Analyst attended the scene to assist in investigating.
