Drugs and counterfeit cash were among the items seized by RCMP in Didsbury this week that saw two people arrested, including a woman from Red Deer.

Mounties say the evidence was seized following an extensive search warrant conducted at a Didsbury residence on Tuesday.

Morgan Stephen Winter, 47, of Didsbury, was arrested and has been charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance and three more of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Sara Joy Hollar, 30, of Red Deer, was arrested and charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance, three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, and fail to comply with a release order.

After a judicial hearing, police say both Winter and Hollar were remanded into custody and were scheduled to appear in Okotoks provincial court on Feb. 26.

RCMP allege the drugs seized are suspected to be 1.3 grams of heroin, 6 grams of methamphetamine, fentanyl, 27 grams of cocaine, over 1 litre of gamma hydroxybutyrate (GHB), and 42 tabs of buprenorphine.

Police also seized counterfeit bank notes, and multiple social insurance number and identification cards from various victims.

The investigation into this matter continues.
