North Red Deer car fire being investigated as possible arson

Red Deer RCMP are investigating and believe arson may be the cause of a vehicle fire early Friday morning.

Police and Red Deer Emergency Services confirm initial calls came in just before 1 a.m. to Kitson Close in north Red Deer.

No one was hurt, though a 2016 Corvette was totalled in the fire and has to be written off.

The investigation is in the preliminary stages, and RCMP ask that if anyone has any information about this incident or the involved persons, to contact Red Deer RCMP detachment at 403-343-5575. That could include video surveillance or dashcam footage.
