Alberta Sports Hall of Fame reopens Thursday

After being closed for the past few months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame is reopening this week.

“We are incredibly excited to be reopening our doors to the public at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 2,” the hall of fame said in a release on Tuesday. “It has been a long time coming, but the closure provided us with time to make necessary changes and updates throughout the Hall of Fame.”

As per Alberta Health Services’ guidelines, the facility will be cleaned on a regular basis, including wiping down and disinfecting surfaces. Access to hand sanitizer will be provided and visitors are encouraged to maintain social distancing.

A water-based disinfectant has also been sprayed to provide an extra level of protection against COVID-19.

“We have been extremely busy giving our Hall of Fame an update,” Tracey Kinsella, Alberta Sports Hall of Fame Executive Director, says. “Our goal was to improve the entire experience for our visitors from the moment they walk in the door.”
