Former Sylvan Lake resident to speak at Municipal Library about new book
SYLVAN LAKE- Charlotte Tweed will speak about her recently published book, Roam Free: A Travel Transformation Memoir, at the Sylvan Lake Municipal Library on Saturday March 21, from 2 to 3 p.m.
Tweed, founder and author of the travel blog A Wandering Web, lived in Sylvan Lake for over a decade and moved to the Calgary area a few years ago.
She previously worked in the healthcare administration field until government restructuring propelled her toward her long-time calling to be a travel-based entrepreneur. After six months of travel, Tweed wrote her first book, Roam Free.
“Charlotte visiting the library and sharing her story and her travels comes at the perfect time for us, because we are looking at starting an armchair travel type of program,” says Corrie Brown, Programmer at Sylvan Lake Municipal Library. “I hope Charlotte’s visit will inspire other local travelers to share their stories and journeys with us.”
