Suspect flees Alix armed robbery on snowmobile

RCMP are looking for a suspect following an armed robbery at a bank in Alix on Friday.

Cpl. Laurel Scott with RCMP K Division, says Mounties received the call regarding the heist at ATB Financial at 11:14 a.m.

“Our information was that a male entered wearing a mask and gloves, carrying a long-barreled firearm and a machete,” says Scott. “He demanded cash, he got the cash and then fled. The interesting part of this is that he was on a snowmobile and fled on a snowmobile.”

According to Scott, the snowmobile was last spotted on Alix Lake, with the suspect still at-large.
