Recovery Day this Saturday at City Hall Park

Red Deer Recovery Day is happening this Saturday, September 7 at City Hall Park.

“Red Deer Recovery Day is an annual public event to advocate, educate, celebrate and support recovery from all addictions,” reads the event’s Facebook page. “(As well as) working together in our community to reduce stigma around addiction and support individuals, their families and the community in finding and maintaining wellness and recovery.”

The event will also feature speakers and performers, as well as booths from local agencies and organizations that support recovery from addictions.

In addition, provincial Associate Minister of Mental Health and Addictions Jason Luan is scheduled to be on hand for at least a portion of the day starting at 11 a.m.
