Motorcyclist killed in crash near Rimbey

A motorcycle rider is dead following a crash near Rimbey early Sunday afternoon.

RCMP, Rimbey Fire and EMS responded at about 12:40 p.m. to a location on Hwy 20 between township roads 422 and 424, southeast of town.

A 58-year-old Ponoka man riding a motorcycle collided with a minivan travelling the opposite direction. He was pronounced dead on scene.

The minivan had six occupants, all of whom were taken to local hospital as a precaution.
