City unveils New Look ‘n’ Book website

Jul 20, 2018 | 6:44 AM

RED DEER- A new website makes it easier than ever for Red Deerians to search, get information about, and register for City programs and activities.

The update to both the back end and user interface of Look ‘n’ Book will offer improved functionality and an enhanced online experience.

The new website replaces a system that had been in use since 1997.

The system is widely used by The City for recreation, parks and culture program administration and registration, recreation facility admission passes, facility bookings, cemetery services, transit passes, gift card sales, and Fee Assistance Program administration.

“We’re excited to launch the new Look ‘n’ Book site that will offer an improved experience for our customers,” said Shelley Gagnon, Recreation, Parks & Culture Manager. “It’s been a long implementation process but we’re happy to have a new system in place that responds to the changing needs of our organization and our customers. Search functionality and mobile responsiveness are two of the new features we’re pleased to offer with the new Look ‘n Book site.”

Current data and information has been transferred to the new system; however, customers without any activity within the past two years will need to set up new accounts.

An email address is required to access customer accounts; client numbers and family PINs are no longer required.

Customers intending to register for fall programs are encouraged to login to their account before the first day of registration (Tuesday, August 14) to test out the new system and ensure any issues are resolved before that day.
