Highway reopens after semis pile up near Bowden
Mar 29, 2018 | 1:07 PM
Following a collision police say involved five semi tractor-trailer units early this morning, the QE II Highway north of Bowden is reopened for travel in the northbound lanes.
Traffic was diverted for just over nine hours while crews worked to clear the area where semis were jackknifed.
Extremely icy road conditions were a factor in the multi-vehicle crash, according to Innisfail RCMP, who continue to investigate.
RCMP received the first call of a semi tractor-trailer unit having jackknifed just after 2:30 a.m.
