‘She loved to play outside: Regina girl found under snow dies in hospital
REGINA — The Saskatchewan coroner’s office is investigating the death of a 12-year-old girl who was found under snow behind her home.
Police and other first responders were called to a Regina residence on Tuesday night.
“The call came in of a child believed to be deceased in the backyard,” said Regina police spokeswoman Elizabeth Popowich. “The child was transported to hospital and then pronounced deceased at hospital later in the evening.”
She said police are assisting the coroner’s office in its investigation. The death is not considered suspicious.
