Dine Out for Learning this Thursday

Mar 6, 2018 | 7:50 AM

Red Deerians are being encouraged to dine out on Thursday in support of those in our community with learning disabilities.

The fifth annual Dine Out for Learning fundraiser happens March 8 and has 26 local restaurants and coffee shops in Red Deer and Lacombe taking part, all in support of the Learning Disabilities Association of Alberta – Red Deer Chapter.

Participating eateries will donate 10 per cent of your bill, whether it be eat-in, take-out or delivery, to the Learning Disabilities Association,

Between five to 10 per cent of people are affected by some form of learning disabilities. In Central Alberta, that amounts to between 15,000 – 30,000 people.

Funds raised on thursday will go toward tutoring, social skills programs and other resources in regards to learning disabilities and ADD.
