EDMONTON- The City of Edmonton says it has pleaded guilty to a charge under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Stephen Penny, a truck driver, was fatally injured when street sweepings unloaded from his truck while he was behind it in April 2015.

The city says it has acknowledged its responsibility in the tragic incident and recognizes the loss felt by Penny’s family, friends and colleagues.

It says it won’t be making any further comment out of respect for Penny’s family.
