Team Alberta Wraps Up National Championships in Ontario

Alberta lacrosse teams had varying levels of success at national championships this past week.

Central Albertans Take Their Talent to the Olympics in Rio

Thirty-one Alberta athletes, including three from our region, will represent Canada at the Rio Olympics, which officially open Friday night.
 
Chaim Schalk, a Red Deerian and former RDC King, will be found on the beach volleyball court alongside partner Ben Saxton of Calgary.

Red Deer Peewee Braves Win Provincial Baseball Title

The Red Deer Baker Hughes Peewee 'AA' Tier-6 Braves are provincial baseball champs.

They defeated the Edmonton South Jasper Place Jays 10-8 in the final over the August long weekend in Fort Saskatchewan.
